TSC PEX-2240 4-Inch Print Engine overview
The PEX-2240 is the 203 dpi 4-inch model in TSC's PEX-2000 print engine series, built to go inside automatic print-and-apply label applicators. It comes in right-hand (PEX-2240R) and left-hand (PEX-2240L) versions, can be mounted in any orientation and prints at up to 18 inches per second.
To make integration easier, it supports DB15 and DB25 applicator interfaces with GPIO emulations of major printer brands. Firmware is customisable and supports the common printer languages. The peel-off module works at angles from -18 to -3 degrees, and a small-label mode handles labels down to 5 mm with print deviation within ±0.4 mm. TSC quotes an MTBF of up to 22,000 hours for the metal chassis.
Dealer options include UHF RFID encoding and a ribbon saver. The engine has 512 MB Flash and 512 MB DDR2 RAM and supports remote management through TSC Console and SOTI Connect.
