How do I choose between a desktop and an industrial barcode printer?
Desktop printers are compact and suit low-to-medium volumes, typically up to a few thousand labels a day. Industrial printers have metal frames, larger media and ribbon capacity and are built for continuous high-volume printing. Tell us your daily volume and label size and we can recommend a model.
Can you help choose the right scanner?
Yes. Let us know what you are scanning (1D barcodes, QR codes, codes on screens or curved surfaces), the environment, and whether you need corded, wireless or hands-free use. We will suggest suitable models.

Labels & Ribbons
Do you supply custom-size labels?
Yes. We supply blank and custom labels in paper and synthetic materials such as polyester. Share the size, material, quantity and printer model and we will advise suitable options.
What is the difference between direct thermal and thermal transfer printing?
Direct thermal printing uses heat-sensitive labels and needs no ribbon; it suits short-life labels such as shipping labels but can fade with heat and light. Thermal transfer printing uses a ribbon to transfer ink onto the label, producing durable, long-lasting prints suitable for products, assets and harsh environments.
Which ribbon should I use — wax, wax-resin or resin?
Wax ribbons are economical and suit paper labels for general use. Wax-resin offers better smudge and scratch resistance on paper and some synthetics. Resin ribbons give the highest durability on synthetic labels such as polyester and polypropylene and resist chemicals and heat. The right choice depends on the label material and exposure conditions.
