Godex G500 Desktop Barcode Printer overview
The Godex G500 series is a compact 4-inch desktop label printer that can print in either thermal transfer or direct thermal mode. It is offered in two resolutions: the G500 at 203 dpi and the G530 at 300 dpi.
Godex's twin-sensor arrangement (an adjustable reflective sensor plus a fixed transmissive sensor) lets the printer handle gap labels, continuous stock, black-mark and punched-hole media. A 300 m ribbon capacity reduces how often ribbons need changing, and an optional external stand accepts larger label rolls for higher-volume work.
The printer runs the EZPL, GEPL, GZPL and GDPL command languages with automatic switching, and is supported by Godex's GoLabel II design software and GoTools management utilities.
