Zebra DS9308 Hands-Free Presentation Barcode Scanner overview
The DS9308 is a small-footprint presentation imager designed for counters where space is tight. It sits upright for hands-free scanning of 1D and 2D barcodes, including codes on mobile phone screens, and can be lifted and triggered like a handheld when needed. A 1280 x 800 sensor with a wide 52° x 33° field of view supports OCR, MICR and, on specific models, Digimarc.
It connects via USB, RS232, keyboard wedge or IBM 46XX, is host powered, and is offered in white or black. Specific configurations support Checkpoint EAS deactivation and driver's licence parsing.
The scanner is IP52 sealed, tolerates 1.5 m drops and is warranted for three years. Zebra lists retail POS, coupons and loyalty, age verification, hospitality concessions and ticketing, and transport gate check-in as uses.
