The LM-550E prints by thermal transfer at 300 dpi on heat-shrink tube, PVC tube, marking tape and markable slide plates. Its tube range runs from 2.5 to 6.5 mm, and tape widths of 5, 9 and 12 mm are used with genuine MAX tape.
It has a keyboard and a backlit 64 x 160 pixel LCD, character heights of 1.3, 2, 3 and 6 mm, and a memory for 61,250 characters in up to 50 files. Cutting is automatic half cut or manual full cut.
