Toshiba B-FP3D 3-inch Mobile Thermal Printer overview
The B-FP3D is Toshiba Tec's 3-inch portable thermal printer for workers on the move. Toshiba targets it at mobile point of sale, queue busting, roadside ticket and receipt issuing, and cash-on-delivery logistics.
It prints at 203 dpi and up to 6 ips across a 72 mm print width, using media from 24 to 80 mm wide. The standard model handles receipt and tag media, while the Plus version adds label printing with strip (peel) mode, a transmissive sensor and IP54 protection without a case.
The printer weighs about 0.7 kg with its 2.5 Ah lithium-ion battery, withstands repeated 1.6 m drops to concrete and has a full-colour LCD. It understands TPCL, ZPL II, CPCL and ESC/POS, with SDKs for iOS, Android and Windows CE/Mobile.
