A care label is only useful if it can still be read after washing, and that depends heavily on the ribbon. Standard wax ribbons are not designed for this work.

MYNDS 100 Washcare

A wash-resistant resin ribbon for garment care labels on nylon taffeta, satin and polyester woven labels.

MYNDS 110 Premium Washcare

The higher grade, intended for repeated industrial washing, ironing and dry cleaning, such as uniforms and export garments.

How to decide

Start with how the garment will really be cared for. Test both grades if you are unsure, using your actual label stock and wash process.

How to run a simple test

  1. Print the same artwork with each ribbon, on your real label stock.
  2. Sew the labels into a garment, or a sample of the same fabric.
  3. Run your real wash, iron or dry-clean cycle several times.
  4. Compare how readable the small text and care symbols remain.

Keep the winning sample with the order file, so later batches can be compared against it.
