TSC Alpha-2R 2-Inch Mobile Receipt Printer overview
The Alpha-2R is TSC's compact, low-cost 2-inch mobile printer for receipts and tickets. It weighs 350 g with its battery and can be worn on a belt or shoulder strap for a whole shift. It prints 203 dpi direct thermal output up to 48 mm wide at up to 4 inches per second.
The 1,620 mAh two-cell Li-ion battery gives more than 17 hours of receipt printing per charge, according to TSC. The plastic case withstands 1.5 m drops (2 m in the IP54 protective case). Rolls up to 50 mm OD reduce how often paper needs changing.
USB 2.0 comes as standard. 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, MFi Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC are factory options, and RS-232 is a user option. The printer understands TSPL-EZ (EPL2/ZPL2 emulation), ESC-POS and CPCL.
