The T4204 is the 203 dpi model in the Printronix Auto ID T4000 light-industrial series. A 300 dpi T4304 is also available. Printronix describes it as its most compact and affordable industrial printer. It prints 4-inch labels at up to 12 ips and is rated for about 5,000 labels a day. It has a steel-frame enclosure with a bi-fold media door, takes 8-inch label rolls and uses 450 m ribbons.
It is built on the Printronix System Architecture (PSA), with a 3.5-inch colour LCD, a nine-key control panel and support for all major thermal printer languages. Ethernet, USB device, USB host and serial come as standard. Enterprise Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and MFi Bluetooth 5.0 are optional.
The T4000 can encode RAIN UHF RFID labels and on-metal tags. RFID upgrade kits are available for the standard model, and labels that fail to encode are automatically overstruck and reprinted. Cutter and peel/rewind options cover other media handling needs.
