Datalogic AV Series AV500/AV900 Stationary Industrial Barcode Reader overview
The AV Series covers two CMOS imaging readers for unattended data capture. The AV500 has a 5 MP sensor, dynamic or adjustable focus and several lens options, and it is aimed at track logistics, baggage handling and retail distribution. Non-flashing white or red illumination and coloured spot indicators also let it serve attended work such as overhead presentation or manual conveyor loading.
The AV900 moves up to a 9 MP sensor, rated by Datalogic at 60% more coverage than common 5 MP cameras, so three units can cover the area of five. It saves HD images in several formats for video coding and OCR, and PackTrack technology keeps items correctly assigned when gaps on the conveyor shrink.
