Datalogic Magellan 1500i Presentation Barcode Scanner overview
The Magellan 1500i is a small presentation scanner for retail counters, pharmacies, service desks and self-checkout kiosks. Its footprint is 8 x 9 cm, and an optional bracket fits it into kiosks. A built-in accelerometer detects when it is lifted and moves from hands-free Stand Mode to Handheld Mode, where Green Spot confirms targeted reads.
It reads 1D, 2D and Digimarc codes, including damaged labels and smartphone screens, and it supports GS1 Digital Link. OCR also captures printed text such as serial numbers, lot codes and expiry dates. Adaptive LED illumination removes flicker and lowers brightness when not needed. The enclosure is IP52 rated with drop resistance to 1.2 m, in black or white.
