The 3510HSi and 3550HSi are horizontal in-counter imagers that share one design at two performance levels. The 3510HSi is the entry point and runs power and communication over a single USB cable, while the 3550HSi adds processing power and throughput. A stainless steel platter with scratch-resistant sapphire glass suits busy front ends, with tin oxide listed as an alternative.

Both read 1D and 2D codes as well as Digimarc, and the large reading area supports sweep scanning. The USB auxiliary port accepts a customer service scanner or a Datalogic handheld for heavy items left in the cart. EAS integration keeps tags active until they are scanned, and the lighting adjusts automatically for damaged or badly printed codes without flicker.
