Datalogic Magellan 3600VSi Vertical Barcode and RFID Scanner

The Magellan 3600VSi targets slim self-checkout kiosks and compact cashier counters, where a vertical body keeps the footprint small while giving a large scan envelope. UHF RFID sits inside the scanner, so one pass can read both barcode and tag, which supports traceability from inventory through checkout and returns. A 1 MP colour video camera works with external software to spot mis-scans and ticket switching.

Datalogic reports a 25% throughput gain on 2D codes over the earlier generation, and better reading of mobile screens and damaged labels. On-glass colour image capture supports loyalty enrolment and document capture, OCR extracts text from IDs, and GS1 Digital Link is ready. Power draw is 1.2 W, the housing uses 85% recycled plastics, and the packaging is recyclable.
