HID FARGO DTC1500 ID Card Printer overview
The DTC1500 is a mid-range direct-to-card printer that balances cost with security features. It prints with dye-sublimation and resin thermal transfer at a standard 300 x 300 dpi, with a 300 x 600 dpi optimised mode, and includes Ethernet connectivity alongside USB.
Options include dual-sided printing, a lamination module, and smart card and magnetic stripe encoding (HID Prox, 13.56 MHz iCLASS / MIFARE / ISO 14443 / 15693, contact smart card and ISO magnetic stripe). Security features include a custom watermark overlay, resin scramble data protection, password-protected operation and AES-256-GCM encryption.
It suits organisations issuing employee, student and access control cards in moderate volumes.
