HID FARGO HDP5000e Retransfer ID Card Printer overview
The HDP5000e is HID FARGO's current high-definition printing (HDP) retransfer printer and the replacement for the discontinued HDP5000. The image is printed onto a film and then fused to the card, giving consistent coverage on smart cards, proximity cards and other uneven surfaces.
It accepts CR-80 cards in PVC, composite, PET, PETG and polycarbonate, can be configured for dual-sided printing, and supports contact and contactless smart card and magnetic stripe encoding. USB and Ethernet connections are provided, and data is protected with AES-256 encryption.
It is intended for organisations that need durable, high-quality credentials such as corporate, government and access control cards.
