HID FARGO DTC4500e ID Card Printer & Encoder overview
The DTC4500e is HID FARGO's versatile workhorse for higher-volume direct-to-card issuance. It prints with dye-sublimation and resin thermal transfer, offers single- and dual-sided configurations, and a dual input hopper holding 200 cards.
Encoding options cover magnetic stripe, contact and contactless smart cards, RFID and proximity, and the encoding modules can be upgraded in the field. The printer connects via USB 2.0 and Ethernet with an internal print server, and an optional lamination module adds durability. Security features include resin scramble data protection, fluorescent (UV) panel printing and AES-256-GCM encryption.
It is suited to corporate, education and government ID programmes that need encoding and secure card output.
