Evolis Badgy200 ID Card Printer overview
The Badgy200 is Evolis's starter solution for organisations that want to print a modest number of plastic badges on their own premises. It is sold as a complete pack: the printer, Evolis Badge Studio design software, a colour ribbon and a stack of blank PVC cards, so users can begin printing straight out of the box.
The printer uses dye-sublimation for colour and thermal transfer for monochrome, printing edge-to-edge on one side of standard CR-80 cards. Its small footprint and 1.7 kg weight make it easy to place on a desk, and it connects to a PC over USB.
Typical uses include staff and student ID cards, membership and loyalty cards, and visitor or event badges, with card data able to be imported from a database for variable printing.
