Evolis Quantum 2 High-Volume Card Printer overview
Quantum 2 is built for production-scale card runs. It prints one or both sides of the card edge-to-edge using dye-sublimation and resin thermal transfer, with interchangeable 500-card input and output hoppers so large batches can run with little intervention.
A patented reversible encoding unit for magnetic stripe and contact smart cards works independently of the print module, and contactless encoders can be added. The aluminium-bodied printer offers a centralised locking system, a 2-line LCD, and USB and Ethernet interfaces.
Evolis lists ID badges, loyalty cards, transit passes, event badges, student cards and payment cards among its uses.
