Evolis Zenius 2 ID Card Printer overview
Zenius 2 is the successor to the original Zenius and is aimed at low-to-medium volume card issuance at reception desks, counters and offices. It prints edge-to-edge on one side of CR-80 cards using dye-sublimation and resin thermal transfer, and can also print, erase and reprint rewritable cards.
The Classic model connects over USB, while the Expert model adds Ethernet and supports factory or on-site encoding modules for magnetic stripe, contact smart card and contactless cards. A 50-card input hopper is complemented by front and rear output options, and cards can also be fed one at a time manually.
Evolis positions the printer for visitor and employee badges, access control credentials, student and loyalty cards, and health insurance and ID cards.
